Në shumë vende të Evropës si dhe në shumicën e vendeve anëtare të aleancës ushtarake transatlantike, NATO-s, shërbimi i detyruar ushtarak ose është hequr fare, ose është ndërprerë. 23 nga 28 vendet anëtare të NATO-s kanë ushtri profesioniste. 21 nga 27 vendet anëtare të BE-së nuk kanë shërbim të detyruar ushtarak.
Albin Kurti ka marrë besimin e 86 deputetëve për krijimin e qeverisë së re. Kuvendi i Kosovës ka votuar qeverinë e re dhe tashmë vendi do ketë institucionet funskionale që janë pritur prej datës 6 tetor. Pas votimit të qeverisë së re Kurti bëri betimin parta deputetëve dhe tha se ai do dëgjonte çdo qytetar. Opozita braktisi sallës pas votimit të kabinetit të ri.
