Papa Françesku për shkak të disa problemeve shëndetësore është detyruar të anulojë një seri angazhimesh javën e kaluar. Dhe pikërisht për këtë arsye i është nënshtruar edhe testit të koronavirusit ku për fat të mirë ka rezultuar i pa prekur.
83-vjeçarit iu bë prova rutinë pasi të mërkurën e kaluar u ndje i sëmurë, me ethe, temperaturë dhe kollë.
Papa Françesku u sëmur në një kohë kur Italia po lu fton me një shpërthim të koronavirusit që ka prekur më shumë se 200 njerëz dhe ka marrë jetën 52 personave.
Në momentet kur kishte qenë me virozë, Papa kishte organizuar takime të ndryshme dhe kjo duket se shqetësoi Vatikanin ndaj edhe mjekët e panë të arsyeshme që ai t’i nënshtrohej testimit.
Mjekët nuk kanë thënë se nga çfarë po vuan Papa, por me shumë mundësi bëhet fjalë për ftohje.
Qyteti i Vatikanit nuk ka raportuar ende rastin e parë të koronavirusit, por u zbulua të martën se një anëtar i stafit është vendosur në karantinë për shkak të frikës se mund të ketë hasur sëm undjen. Personi i dyshuar si i infektuar kishte qenë në kontakt me një prift francez.
