Një ndër figurat që ai përmend është edhe Imzot Pjetër Bogdani, Ipeshkëv i Shkodrës e më pas i Shkupit dhe autor i “Çeta e Profetënve”, një prej librave më të hershëm shkruar në shqip. Në përshkrimin e jetës dhe aktivitetit të tij fetar, letrar dhe patriotik, Petrotta na jep edhe disa fakte interesante rreth Ballkanit, veçanërisht Shqipërisë, Maqedonisë dhe Serbisë, herë në mënyrë të drejtpërdrejtë e herë në mënyrë të tërthortë.
Në fund të vëllimit II të “Çeta e Profetënve”, pjesë e cituar nga Petrotta, thuhet: Perandori Shtjefën i Shtëpisë së Nemanjëve ia ndau dheun e vet qefalijve të tij më të merituar dhe për besë dhe për virtyt: atë anë që prej Hekurit (që sot thirret Somokovë) dhe shtrihet deri mbi ujë të Hasit, sot Vardarit, i cili rrjedh midis Shkupit, ia dha Bogdanit, njeri i drejtë, siç thotë Marin Urbini…
Siç thashë më lart, vepra është e shkruar në gjuhën shqipe, ndërkohë që imz. Pjetër Bogdani nga vendlindja ka shkuar drejt Italisë me studime. Kjo do të thotë se gjuhën shqipe ai e ka fituar në vendlindje, pasi ajo është gjuha e nënës dhe kjo na thotë se në Maqedoni flitej shqip.
Ndërsa në parathënien e librit (libri është shkruar në vitin 1683), Imzot Bogdani thothë:
Ky Zotëri në Padova [po të lexojmë edhe pjesën tjetër të parathënies shohim se bëhet fjalë për Kardinalin Gregor Barbaringo që e strehoi kur imzot Pjetri u arratis pasi përndiqej nga turiqt] më dha shtëpi, shërbëtorë, kuaj e koçi, t’i përdorja sipas dëshirës. Por unë, duke refuzuar të gjitha këto, e luta që të më shtypej libri im, duke qenë ky i vetmi mendim që kisha.
Kështu që, duke u kthyer në tokën tonë, të mund të kisha në dorë një qiri të ndezur për të ndriçuar atë dhe të vobektë të Arbërisë e të Serbisë, i cili në pjesën më të madhe flet shqip, pasi ka dalë nga Arbëria prej së cilës u përhap në të besimi i shenjtë; prej nga sllavët pët autonomazi, fenë katolike e quajnë: Arbanshka vera.
